The RPGeeks is an experiment in science communication.

I have been a geek all my life, and I am not alone in this. Specifically, Ali Jennings, Shamini Bundell, and Emily Bates are lifelong geeks, science communicators, and fans of tabletop roleplaying games such as Dungeons and Dragons.

Having met through various sci-comm activities and games of DnD, we decided to band together and create the RPGeeks: Dungeons and Dragons and Science. Through a weekly twitch stream, we tell the story of three adventures (Infinity, Tenebris, and Uriel) who are unpicking a complex story of smuggling, gods, and digging on the world of Braxigantu (created and dungeon mastered by Ali).

We run into interesting concepts in science fiction and in DnD, and between our adventuring episodes we discuss the real world science that underpins these topics. These have included the science of radiant damage, how mind control works, and the logistics of healing potions.

While the best experience is watching live, we are also available in other formats!
